The Co-operative #OnTheList Christmas Event

Tuesday, December 09, 2014

Last week I was invited to The Co-operatives #OnThe List Christmas event. The was a great chance to meet up with other bloggers and see friends I haven't seen in ages.

We started with a glass or three of Prosecco or 3 (5) and chat while sampling some canapés. The falafal and smoked salmon where a hit with me.

There was a blogger panel answering questions and telling us about their own blogs.

From left to right Jordan, RuthSarah and Emma

After the panel we had a chance to sample some treats made up from unusual ingredients. I tried some of the Rocky Road which I'm sure they said it had Pesto in it! I could be wrong. I didn't taste of anything other than rocky road. I also tried some of the brownies some had chilli in (amazing) and others had salt in (double amazing)

There was also a demonstration to make chocolate spheres by the Co-op's product development guy.

They even flambéed them at the end, this is amazing as i'd have imagined it to have melted it all chocolate.

The finished result was a perfect sparkly case for a hidden surprise. There were different things  in them. I had chocolate and passion fruit and I saw someone else had a sponge cake filling.

We were really spoilt with the choice of food. I had some cheese and biscuits and took some cup cakes home with me.

The final part of the night before we said our goodbyes was a talk by The Slummy Single Mummy on questions to ask yourself when bogging.

I had a great night, it was lovely to meet the team and so many familiar faces.

  1. That even looks great! I'm so hungry now though. I hadn't realised that the Co Op were working with bloggers now which is a great thing - they sure need some good press! Glad you enjoyed your day (and your 5 Proseccos!) xxx
