Neal's Yard Event October 2015 - King St, Manchester

Sunday, October 11, 2015

Last week Neal's Yard invited me and a host of other bloggers to their new store on King Street in Manchester.

They have recently moved from John Dalton Street over to King Street, which in my opinion is a better location. King Street is in my mind a prestigious street in Manchester and while it is not directly in the centre of town it's not far away and it also hosts my favourite Christmas Market when the festive season rolls round.

Neal's Yard first invited me to an event in Manchester two years ago which was really lovely and it was nice to be invited back.

We were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco and vegan treats and we ever invited to try a mini treatment.

We had a choice of head massage, back massage, hot stones or an osteopath. I opted for the osteopath as the stress and things that have been going on recently and I can feel that I'm holding the tension in my back. Francis who did the treatment has also treated me previously when my previous employer brought him in on a monthly basis.

I do need to book in to get a semi regular treatment as I felt so much better after a 15 min treatment. He unknotted my back and shoulders, I really need to book myself in for a course of treatment at some point very soon.

The new store is looking beautiful, with the recycled blue bottle chandelier which my phone camera can't do justice at all.

There is space to easily look round, space to have product demonstrations and treatment room on the lower floor. The one I went into was very nicely decorated, very calming and felt quite spacious with storage, a treatment bed and a small table and chairs to have a consultation at first.

The store layout is very well thought out and products are displayed by skin type and what they are for rather than product type which I like as you get to see the range. it's also very pleasing on the eye.

I took a lot of pictures but as they were on my phone I don't feel like I can do the products justice but wanted to share a few of the products I'm most interested in trying or have tried and love. I'm a huge fan of reed diffusers and want to try the balancing range.

I recently got a NYR hand cream as a free gift on a magazine and really enjoyed it once I've worked through my stash (About 6) of hand creams I'm going to treat myself to the set of three hand creams.

I have tried a couple of makeup items previously and was impressed with the quality. I think a future purchase from them will be a lipstick once I've decided on a colour.

The other products which I was really drawn to was the mother and baby range. As well as being so nicely packaged I think they'd make a great gift for someone.

A massive thank you to the NYR team for putting on such a lovely event. I did come away with a goody bag which was a festival survival kit and I bought myself a face scrub once i've started using these products I will do another post about them.
