Our Handmade Collective at Leeds Grand Arcade

Friday, June 06, 2014

Over the wet and miserable bank holiday weekend I had a little day out to Leeds and no visit would be complete without a trip to the Grand Arcade.

Last time I went was to visit Hand Picked Hall, which has sadly ceased to trade but I'm happy to report a number of the businesses who were in HPH have moved into units within the Arcade and I belive a number of the other empty units have been leased and will soon be open (but don't quote me on this)

I did only visit one shop. Our Hand Made Collective. They stock a wide number of local makers work and really do have a budget to suit everyone.

They stock a selection of local hand made items including Life's Big Canvas items. I wanted an origarmi shape on a stick but didn't trust myself to get it home without breaking it.

There are some fantastic items and I could have spent all day in there. I got myself a like box which i'm using to keep some of my kirby grips in.

I've had some foot soak from the below range before and it was amazing, this time I got a bar of foot butter. My heels bless them have always been a mess and this stuff is amazing. It's called twinkle toes and I think I'll be buying some more.

I also couldn't resist the glasses necklace. I was a bit worried it wouldn't be long enough but it is and I adore it.

How cute in the box and without realising it, it matches the fabric I picked up in Skipton to use as back grounds to some photos.

Have you been to Leeds recently?
