Miss Selfridge Rings

Miss Selfridge isn't a shop I go into very often. I've never been able to fit into their clothes and it's not somewhere that is ever on my radar.
I popped in to the one in Huddersfield a few weeks ago after seeing a post on Instagram of some Front and Back earrings.
They had a post Christmas sale and I got distracted by a couple of rings. Knowing I have chubby fingers I thought I'd have no chance of any fitting.
This didn't stop me picking them off the display. The size L rings looked quite generous. I gingerly tried one on my wedding finger, my thinnest finger and often the only finger I can get any rings on even in an XL.
I was Pleasantly Surprised. Not only did it fit but it fit easily even still attached to the cardboard.
The ones I settled on were a leaf design and a marcasite (style) stone ring. I seem to keep buying things with a leaf design recently and I've loved maracsite since I was about 12 or 13. A holiday to Tenerife got me hooked and I'm always drawn to that style of jewellery.
It's been a few weeks since I bought them and when I went to wear one it felt to big for my default wedding finger and it fits comfortably on my right hand.
The Jewellery is a concession as I discovered today when I popped in to the Manchester branch for yet more front to back earrings, which might explain it. If you are plus size I'd say check out their accessories. They have on trend stuff and it does cost a fortune. I paid £2 each for the rings and I think they were only £5 full price.
Where do you buy jewellery from? Have you had any surprise finds recently?

These are super cute-I wouldnt think to look there for rings but will now.
ReplyDeleteI adore marcasite but it's unusual to find it in brass/gold costume jewellery instead of silver everywhere. I often find ring sizes in high street stores being on the child size or massive! Perfectly priced rings :o)
ReplyDeleteI normally wouldn't even think to go it, it was only because I'd seen some earrings on instagram. My inner magpie is is drawn to rings and was shocked when they fitted. xx
ReplyDeleteI'm finding more variance with rings recently. I often can't even get on the XL ones but was surprised when they fitted. It's not somwhere I ever think to go in as I know they only go up to a size 16 but I'll be going in more often now x
ReplyDeleteEven though I find some of the clubbing/partying stuff to be a little young for me, they do gorgeous accessories and trendy creative basics. I'm going to Miss Selfridge online now, ha!
ReplyDeleteHope I didn't make you spend a fortune!! I'm loving all their front and back earrings. I've already got 3 pairs and want at least another 3!!
ReplyDeleteI love reading all your comments, so make sure you leave me one x
